Konstantin Grcic has designed several utilitarian lamps for the Italian lighting brand Flos, and the partnership is growing steadily. For the 2026 Milan Design Week, Flos presented the new Nocturne lighting collection by Konstantin Grcic, which stands out for its low-glare moonlit glow, modularity, and easy adjustment. Building on the design language of the earlier Noctambule series, these lamps combine task lighting with ambient illumination.

Made from hot-formed borosilicate glass and aluminum, the lamps are described as a perfect fusion of craftsmanship and low-glare technology. Inspired by the subtle glow of the moon, the Nocturne lamps cast both direct and indirect light to create the desired atmosphere.

Each lamp has a dimmable LED source that emits warm, natural light that feels highly comfortable. On the other hand, the aluminum profile allows lighting elements to be positioned freely along its length. This way, it makes a simplified mechanical system that is easy to install and maintain over time.

The integrated dimmable LED source offers controlled emission without glare, creating calibrated reflections and transparencies. Light is enhanced as it travels through the glass, while the structure retains an essential, understated geometry. The lamps are available in floor, suspension, and wall-mounted versions, with conical or semi-spherical diffusers.

Another highlight is the modular system that allows you to configure the lamp in different compositions. The structural aluminum foundations and the lighting diffusers are interchangeable to meet different needs. Because the system uses a low-voltage track, these components snap together mechanically and electrically without needing complex internal rewiring.

The floor version allows you to arrange multiple diffusers at different heights, emphasizing the interplay between glass and aluminum. The wall version extends horizontally, offering discreet yet precise accent lighting. The hanging lamp comes in three versions and gives a modern look to classic cone and hemisphere shapes, with glass shades suspended by metal cables to create a floating appearance.

The Nocturne lighting collection is a great example where the latest technology and materials combine with the timeless beauty of glass.
