Little Nest emulates comfort of womb for newborn infants

Let’s face it, cribs are not as comfortable as mother’s womb for a newborn baby. However, the Little Nest by o-bjekt design studio can provide the same warmth to your infant. It is basically a hanging cradle that’s designed to offer the sense of being in mother’s womb to your baby.

The cradle is inspired by the personal experience of designer Oszkar Vagio, who after facing many sleepless nights wanted to create a child bed that can provide the most natural form of sleeping to any infant. According to the designer, the cradle can offer same comfort a child feels while resting peacefully in mother’s womb.

Little Nest is handmade with 100-percent natural materials, making it an eco-friendly baby crib. Renowned hatter László Girardi handcrafted shell of the cradle, using double-layered single piece of Merino wool (one of the finest and softest wool). Moreover, the leather strap suspension ensures that the baby crib is strong and robust enough to handle movements of a baby.

It reacts to every motion of your baby and calms him/her by gently swaying the cradle. The cradle supports minimalist design without any ostentation, offering something subtle and unique for newborns. To check the effect of Little Nest on these angelic beings, many clinical tests have been carried out. This cradle has proven to be a dynamic design, offering flexibility to both mother and baby.
