It rarely happens that we see a tiny house with a front porch. But stumbling onto a creation with a dual porch is something we did not expect. The Maddox tiny house by American builder Tiny Life Homes is a fresh breath of air with both front and back porches that exude a cottage-core charm while sleeping four in its cabin-esque interior. The park model measures 47-foot-long and 13-foot-wide, giving a luxurious 396 square feet to accommodate the occupants. Surprisingly the dwelling only costs $125,000, relatively affordable than ridiculously priced $250K micro-dwelling.

The Maddox’s twin porches not only extend the living space but provide the much-coveted outdoor spaces that most compact houses lack. The covered and fenced spaces can be screened to offer more privacy and safety or can be left as it is. One of the porches provides direct access to the sole bedroom, while the other opens into the living room.

The living room has plenty of space to place a convertible couch, a coffee table, and an entertainment center. Past the living room, a full kitchen finds its place with a compact bathroom tucked in a corner. The kitchen has a four-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, range hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, stainless steel sink, pantry, and plenty of cabinets and shelves. A washer/dryer unit is also fitted in this space.

A bathroom is tucked opposite the cooking space. The fully functional bathroom is compact and has a shower space, toilet, and vanity sink.

Down the hall from the kitchen, a pocket door leads to the bedroom of the Maddox tiny house. The bedroom has three closets, a concealable built-in cabinet, and a small loft space for additional storage. It has plenty of space for a king-size bed. A big sliding door opens onto the back porch from the bedroom, providing an added outdoor space to go with the room.

Besides these included features, the Maddox tiny house is fully customizable upon request and can be a wonderful residence for a couple or small family.
