Waves of the sea crashing against the land make a sight to behold. The natural hues of blue and white are just wonderful! If you have a penchant for seascapes, you will surely love the beach essence in every room of your home, even the kitchen. For the latter, there are these amazing serving boards with realistic resin seascapes, created by North Carolina-based resin artist Maria Risen.

She makes beautiful cheese boards, serving trays, coasters, wall art featuring realistic seascapes on the surfaces. These creations are inspired by the beaches in Key West, Florida. She learned resin art a few years back when she was living in the region and wanted to capture its serenity in a unique way.

She uses bamboo or acacia wood frame for the base, while several layers of resin along with acrylic ink, glitter, alcohol ink are used to achieve a realistic ocean wave effect on the surface of the wooden board. Resin is layered creating a lacing effect that mimics sea foam.

These ocean-inspired kitchenware and art pieces create a tempting visual appeal and will be a conversation starter wherever they are placed. You can buy them from her Etsy shop starting at €25 (about $31).
