Beijing-based designer Ng Hoi of NGHOI Design Studio presents the Chic Chair at the Milan Design Week 2021. Inspired by the casual and unrestrained posture of a park bench, Hoi’s has designed a single-person chair featuring a wide backrest that allows the user to place arms like one does while relaxing on a bench in the park.
The designer wants people to enjoy this comfy and pleasant posture at home as well. The prototype of the chair was conceived in 2019 but it became more meaningful in the ongoing pandemic as it creates a natural social distancing mechanism with its large back.

The Chic chair features a broad wooden back that spreads like wings, allowing users to relax like they are sitting in a park. The chair features a wooden seat resting on shiny metal legs.
It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Hoi’s Chic chair can be used at home, in the office, or for chilling out in the garden.
