Razer is no stranger when it comes to releasing innovative and exciting consumer tech at CES 2026. Last year, it brought the Project Arielle climate-controlled chair to the event, and this year, it has another incremental surprise for gamers. Its latest gaming chair, codenamed Project Madison, could be the best with a suite of features that’ll elevate your gaming in a cocoon of comfort.
Razer has a deep affinity with gaming chairs and shoving the best tech possible into them. Project Madison is a love child of the Clio and Freyja gaming chairs, revealed by Razer at CES 2025 and CES 2024, respectively. They’ve built on the feedback from gamers to improve the kinks in those chairs and better them with more tech-infused goodness that actually feels practical.
The chair has better cushioning, and the underlying Sensa HD haptics bring directional vibrations to the fore. That means you are going to have an even better rumble than the usual controllers for in-game immersion. The tactically placed six multi-zone haptic motors target specific body parts for immersive gaming that spans beyond your visual and audio input. In racing titles, the rumble is more like a subdued sensation of riding the tarmac, while in shooting games, it hits hard like a gunshot recoil or a bullet taken to the chest.
The auditory input comes from the surround sound speakers embedded in the headrest, just like the Clio chair. The immersive sound is better this time, even if you move your head away from the sweet spot. You can even pair it with other speakers for 7.1 surround sound output for enhanced realism. To match your gaming setup, Razer has gone the extra length to include Chroma light strips along the head flaps. The RGB lights support 16.8 million colors and they react to the in-game action (compatible with Razer ecosystem) courtesy the support for 16.8 million colors.
The chair has a max load capacity of 299 lbs and comes with an integrated lumbar arch, Dual-density cold-cured foam cushion, and 4D armrests. The freedom of movement is attributed to the frog multi-tilt mechanism and 152-degree recline angle. There is no word yet about the availability or pricing of the chair, but we presume the tech infused here is going to find its way into the future lineup of gaming chairs by Razer.
Along with the Project Madison gaming chair, Razer has also enticed attendees with their Project AVA 3D hologram AI desk companion. The accessory comes with a collection of animated holographic avatars, an AI personalization engine, and an adaptive learning system.
