Designed by Melbourne-based portable building manufacturer, Treehab Tiny Houses, the Red Gum Tiny House is a single-lofted mobile dwelling. It is a perfect compact abode for an individual or a couple to explore the world with their house in tow. The 27.5 feet Red Gum tiny house on wheels packs a big kitchen, a cozy living room, a loft bedroom, a storage-packed staircase, and a full bathroom.

In times when the tiny house industry is going big, both in size and pricing, this micro-dwelling offers a luxurious layout in an affordable package. While most American builders are going bigger with models like the 35-foot Riverbend costing $132,000 and the 48-foot Tree tiny house going for a whopping $275,000, this Australian build only costs about $85,600.

Arguably the above-mentioned houses provide more space and accommodation in attractive packages, but they do forgo the basics of the tiny house industry, especially, affordability. The Red Gum, on the other hand, offers it all.

The light-filled interior of the Red Gum is accessed via French doors that open into the living room. The living room is flanked by picture windows and can fit a convertible sofa bed or a couple of chairs with a coffee table.

A galley kitchen is located opposite the lounge and has wood countertops, a four-burner cooktop, an oven, space for a refrigerator, and plenty of cabinets. Facing the cooking station is a storage-integrated staircase that provides tons of storage, which is a blessing in small houses. The staircase leads to the loft bedroom, which can fit a king-size mattress and has a standing landing.

Past the kitchen, a full bathroom is designed. It has a shower stall, a toilet, a sink with floating vanity, and a small open cabinet. The Red Gum has all the essential ingredients of a true tiny house. Measuring 27.5-foot-long and 7.8-foot-wide, the Red Gum tiny house is priced at AUD 129,990 (roughly $85,600).
