Most of the tiny house makers I conversate with have the same story to share. They first built a tiny house for themselves and eventually started building it for others too. Nevada-based tiny house makers Far Out Tiny Homes had the same narrative; the only difference was they built their tiny home in about three months with very little building experience. Gradually, they gained expertise, and are today renowned as one of the finest makers in North America. After being immensely impressed by their Stardust and Lady Luck tiny house, today I decided to cover one of their most hyped homes, the Sands tiny house on wheels.

The mobile dwelling measures 32 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. It’s based on a triple-axle trailer and built using structurally insulated panels (SIPs), with a metal roof and wood and metal siding. Inside, the home is finished in MDF Shiplap throughout; with luxury waterproof vinyl flooring and butcher block countertops.

Visitors enter the kitchen that includes full-size appliances with the likes of a refrigerator and built-in microwave and hood vent, space for a cooktop to be fitted, and quite a bit of storage space. Other features include a sink basin, a modern stainless steel above-mount sink, and pull pull-down spray faucet. Nearby is the bathroom that has a walk-in shower, floating vanity with storage, standard flush toilet, and storage closet, where a washer and dryer also be fitted.

Despite measuring quite big, Far Out Tiny Homes has kept things simple and subtle. While most makers would choose to add a couple of lofts at this size, Far Out Tiny Homes decided to squeeze a raised bedroom that is capacious enough to sleep two people.

The Sands tiny house bedroom can even be outfitted with a television, as there is a proper space designated to it on the wall. The tiny house gets power from a standard RV hookup and lighting is LED throughout. Having said that, the tiny home is currently on the market for $125K in the United States.
