Sarah Rosado, a New York-based photographer and illustrator, plays with her breakfast cereal to create artistic masterpieces. Well, Rosado creates portraits of famous musicians using nothing but corn flakes.

The self-taught artists mentioned in an interview that the idea for her celebrity cereal portraits came when she was listening to oldies and R&B music over breakfast one morning. Immediately, the phrase ‘music has never tasted so good’ popped into her head.

She believes that latte art gets more attention on social media, but the same is not true for breakfast cereal. So, she thought – why not replace latte art with world’s number one breakfast choice – corn flakes? That’s why she uses variety of breakfast cereals in her creations.

Each portrait is designed out of whole flakes and it takes about five hours for completion. She begins by drawing a pencil sketch and then starts adding cereal onto the outlines. Finally, she uses a pin to achieve more distinguishing features: eyes, nose and mouth.

Some of her commendable cereal masterpieces include iconic celebrity faces like John Lennon, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson. Take a look at her incredible artwork in the images below.
