New Hampshire-based Backcountry Tiny Homes is renowned for designing custom models that are built to withstand harsh climates. A recent example is the Scandi Inn tiny house, a 24-foot-long tailor-made dwelling for high altitudes in the Midwest. Boasting a width of 8.5 feet, the micro-dwelling is capacious enough to host a living room, large kitchen, bedroom, storage loft, tiled shower, and dining area. We’ll talk about all these aspects in detail below, but first, let’s discuss the exterior of the tiny home.
The micro-dwelling flaunts a wooden and metal exterior and comes poised on a triple-axle trailer. Access to the home is gained via a single door that welcomes you to the living room of the house. An L-shaped sofa captures most of the space here, while the rest is occupied by a side table and other essentials. A small storage loft is placed atop the living room. Reached via a removable ladder, it can either be used as a secondary lounge area or can be utilized as a cozy reading nook.
The custom home has a large kitchen with pull-out storage to stock nitty-gritty essentials. The kitchen includes a countertop that incorporates a sink and a cooktop. Other features include shelves, cabinets, a fridge, and other electronic essentials. On the backdrop of the living room and the kitchen are black accented windows, which allow light and air to penetrate inside.

Above the kitchen is a small sleeping area, which is accessed by a staircase. The loft includes a double bed that sleeps two people comfortably and has a wooden barricade that offers privacy to the dwellers.
Downstairs is the bathroom of the Scandi Inn tiny house that includes a toilet, shower, and sink. Since it’s a custom build, we are not familiar with the price of the tiny house yet but estimate it to be well above $70K.
