Many people are welcoming home robots with open arms, which is why a variety of options are emerging for cleaning, cooking, and even companionship. Humanoid-like robots have also been there, with the likes of Neo by 1X Technologies, and even big names like Tesla and Dyson are involved. Another name joining the list is the California-based Sunday Robotics, which has come up Memo house robot to do household chores just like a human. It is represented as a 24/7 robotic solution to help busy homes with routine tasks and can learn new skills over time.

Memo is an autonomous robot with a wheelbase, able to move on its own without needing direct human teaching. Instead of manual control, it learns from training data collected by Memory Developers using a special Skill Capture Glove. Similar to Neo’s technology, this glove captures millions of human movements, which Memo’s AI uses to learn useful home skills. Sunday Robotics has gathered data from over 2,000 gloves, enabling Memo to handle various situations and objects. Thanks to advanced AI models and a growing Skill Library, Memo can perform tasks and continually improve its abilities.

In December 2024, Memo started with just one arm and learned its first task of arranging shoes. Since then, it has been trained on multiple skills and can now autonomously clear tables of plates and delicate glasses, dispose of food scraps, and load the dishwasher before starting it. Memo has also learned to fold piles of socks and even make and serve a shot of espresso. Sunday Robotics plans to continuously develop new skills, making Memo an ever-learning robot.

Memo can lower its arms to the ground or reach up to 7 feet, but usually works at about 4 feet high. It moves slowly, at half the speed of a person, to stay safe and avoid crashes. You can also gently move its arms while it is working without it pushing back.

Memo is designed with a soft, touch-friendly silicone shell that has no sharp edges and can be easily cleaned with any household cleaner. You can also personalize its look with a variety of colors and custom hats to match your style.

Supported by $35 million in funding from Benchmark and Conviction, Sunday Robotics is now accepting applications for Memo’s Founding Family Beta, set to launch in late 2026. They will be providing uniquely numbered robots to 50 households.
