Are you a sophisticated person who is still a young gamer at heart? You must check out this cool Arcade Coffee Table that’s made out of scrap wood. Created by Imgur user [AdmiralFroggt], this tech-infused gaming table is designed to offer sophistication with nerdy quirkiness in any video game loving individual’s living space.

Construction process

According to the DIYer, he had a huge pile of dirty scrap wood lying around from some old pallets. Using some slate chippings with different widths and thicknesses, he created a perfect arcade coffee table that’s natural to look at and functional at the same time.

On the table surface, he had cut a rectangle to fit the monitor, leaving a gap for adjustment as well as rails to support the acrylic screen top. The wooden planks were glued together with long clamps to provide extra strength and support to either side of the screen.

After that mitre-cut edges were also made from left over wood. These were further glued and screwed into the sides of the planks. Later additional high-tech accessories like joysticks and control pads were fixed to create a perfect gaming table.

The resulting arcade table is a one-of-a-kind gimmick to the DIYer’s home. If you’ve got some woodworking skills, you can follow the designer’s instructions on Imgur to create similar arcade coffee table for your home.
