As the circular economy grows, more brands are making products that last longer and are easier to reuse or recycle at the end of their life. A standout example of this approach was the MYND Bluetooth Speaker by Erik and electrical engineer Jonathan, which is designed for easy repair and longevity. Now, we have another product in the same spirit: the TTD.3000 Boombox – Cloud Edition by Maker Hardware. This Bluetooth-enabled, 3D‑printed Hi‑Fi speaker is crafted to be visually attractive as well as easily repairable. Its signature feature is a flowing pattern that runs seamlessly along its body, giving it a distinctive and modern look.

The TTD.3000 Boombox has a modular design that is easy to maintain and looks great. Its body is 3D‑printed from PETG plastic in order to make it resistant to impacts, scratches, heat, and chemicals. The speaker also utilizes stainless steel and aluminum structural elements that protect against rust and wear.

The speaker’s design draws inspiration from classic Hi‑Fi audio gear, vintage boombox culture, handcrafted furniture, and modern maker spaces. Thanks to 3D-printing, it can feature a wide range of body patterns and color variations, which means it is easy to create new designs in just a few days. Furthermore, color schemes can be easily updated by switching filament types.

Designer Patrick Cronin considers modularity as a defining feature of the TTD.3000 portable speaker. To achieve this, all major components, including the front faceplate and battery pack, are designed for easy replacement or upgrades using standard hand tools. The rechargeable battery pack is positioned for quick access and can be swapped out whenever needed. This design not only extends the product’s lifespan but also makes long-term maintenance simple and cost-effective.

Maker Hardware designs, builds, and services the TTD.3000 Boombox in‑house that makes it easy to replace the damaged parts. Every unit is hand‑assembled in New York City by skilled electro‑mechanical technicians to provide high standards of quality.

The TTD.3000’s distinctive Cloud design features its unique face pattern and color schemes. Priced at around $400 on the official website, it is available in three color options: Lake Green, Soft Purple, and Bone White to match your style.
