Cushions and pillows are often ignored as important elements of home décor but Merel Karhof’s new creation, Wind Knitted Cushion has the ability to change this notion. These cushions are made of merino wool and all are designed in London, exclusively for the Fiber Space collection.

Wind knitted cushions are two meter long upholstered tubes that are knitted by a four foot wide windmill. The wind powers the loom, which churns out the long cushions. The whole production process of the cushions are dictated by nature, when it is windy machine knits fast and when wind is less, it knits slowly.

Every cushion gets a label which tells you on which date and in how much time the wind knitted the cushion.

Each piece of cushion is unique, they are soft and flexible, you can knot or shape them as you wish. Price of a single Wind Knitted Cushion is $224. Click here for more details.
