When out on a camping trip, toilet is one of the major concerns. The everyday struggle of managing human waste becomes the biggest challenge. Composting toilets are good, but if you are looking for something more portable, odorless, and with lesser environmental impact, Wrappon has some good news for you. The Japanese brand, which already offers two portable toilet models in the USA that require manual intervention, has now developed a waterless, portable toilet that can automatically capture human waste and seal it in a plastic bag for easy disposal.
Born out of necessity as a government demand during the 2011 tsunami in Japan, the Wrappon toilets have been camper-centric since their inception. The all-new Wrappon Sunny takes that to a new height. It is a compact and lightweight variant that can be useful in traditional camping, on boats, in RVs, and, of course, in trailer-based camping.
It looks like an actual toilet – in your bathroom – but with folding stainless steel legs. The toilet measures 46.5D x 36W x 24.7H cm and weighs about 7 kg (approx. 15.4 lbs), which is much lighter than the earlier models. With a plastic body, it has a load capacity of 150 Kg (330.6 lbs).
The toilet features a smart sealing system that automatically wraps and heat-seals waste after every use. The built-in thermo-compression bonding system is used to seal the waste in a biodegradable film with the press of a button. This allows for easy disposal, and you do not have to deal with odors and bacteria. The company also offers a special coagulant that solidifies the waste, which makes handling the waste even more convenient.

Designed to be lightweight, durable, and hygienic, Wrappon Sunny can be used anywhere, but you will need to connect it to electricity with the included 16-foot lighter cable. When it comes to storage, it packs into a handy carry bag, which can easily be put in the rear of a car or camper van.
