Last year, we published a guide on outdoor security cameras, detailing how battery-powered systems function. The guide also addressed common questions to help buyers pick the right option for their homes. However, one key issue that was left untouched was the incompatibility of outdoor security cameras in monitoring multiple subjects simultaneously.
To put that into context, most outdoor security cameras can only track a single subject at once. So, if a guest is at the entrance, and a pet is wandering nearby, standard cameras would often focus on one and overlook the other. This is a problem Baseus is trying to address with its X1 Pro AI dual tracking outdoor security camera. Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, X1 Pro features a dual tracking system that enables the camera to follow movement with striking precision.
This system utilizes two separate 3K cameras that work together to provide the user with a wide, reliable coverage. Together, the two cameras provide up to 300 degrees of coverage, each offering a 125-degree view and 55 degrees of motorized panning. You can watch both feeds side by side in split-screen mode, and the system smoothly switches between cameras to maintain continuous tracking movement without interruption.
“Unlike a single-lens camera that only tracks one thing at a time, the X1 Pro uses its two AI-driven cameras to follow up to two subjects simultaneously, handing off capture to the other camera seamlessly to prevent blind spots and rotating independently at preset intervals to actively scan for potential threats for wide and consistent surveillance,” the company states in its press release.
The X1 Pro’s 4K UHD camera captures clear, detailed video day and night. HDR and improved night vision enable it to see better in low conditions, where many cameras fall short. In addition to these features, the X1 Pro comes with a built-in AI engine. This allows the unit to distinguish between people, animals, vehicles, and general motion, reducing false alarms that often annoy users of conventional motion-triggered systems.
Other features include an integrated solar panel for continuous power and support for up to 512GB of local storage. “All footage can be saved directly on the device without any subscription fees,” the company states.

Baseus also designed the X1 Pro with user privacy in mind. The camera features customizable monitoring zones, on-device data processing, and optional local storage, giving users more direct control over how their footage is handled. Additionally, the camera can automatically tilt downward when privacy mode is activated, serving as a visual confirmation that recording has paused.
With its mechanical-AI dual tracking, 4K video quality, sophisticated detection algorithms, and privacy-centric approach, the Baseus X1 Pro stands out as a compelling choice. Interested buyers can secure it on Kickstarter for an early bird price of $150.
