Yi Technology, a Chinese company associated with and funded by Xiaomi, has now entered into the home camera segment with its Yi Dome Camera. This smart home security system offers complete 360-degrees coverage to the direction of your target and other moving objects. It features Auto-Cruise mode and bookmarks specific spots in your home for easy access to preferred camera angles, hence there’s no scope for blind spots.
The YI Dome Camera 1080p can record and capture panoramic scenes in high-definition for complete coverage. Meanwhile, its 112-degree wide-angle lens rotates both horizontally and vertically to follow moving objects within 360-degree coverage range. Besides all that, the camera can also live-stream content from the user’s PC or YI Home app, available for iOS and Android devices. This way the homeowners can easily keep an eye on their house from any corner of the world.
For new parents, the baby crying detection feature, powered by audio identification technology, sends quick alert message to the user when the baby starts crying, and the parents are in another room or somewhere outside the house. The home security camera also has YI Cloud subscription, which is an optional subscription for up to 30 days of unlimited photo and video storage.
The user can also subscribe to the motion detection service plan that supports up to five cameras with no additional cost. This way the system allows the user to view their entire home while paying just for one cloud storage plan. In addition, YI camera even has a slot for 32G MicroSD card for extra storage.
You can pre-order a single Yi Dome smart security camera on Amazon for $99.99.
