In 2017, the Italian company Elica presented its first two-in-one induction hob and kitchen hood dubbed NikolaTesla. Fast forward to 2022, the company introduces the Unplugged version of NikolaTesla. The latest version will be showcased at the Salone del Mobile 2022 and includes knobs with analog touch and feel.

Designed by Fabrizio Crisa, the NikolaTesla Unplugged model brings the control system to a whole different level. The minimalist design of the hob adds personality to your kitchen with its impressive functionality. The kitchen appliance is made of top-quality material with stainless steel and a black glass finish. Overall, the product combines the capabilities of a kitchen hob and a kitchen hood rolled into one.

The large knobs give NikolaTesla Unplugged a professional look and its accurate shape lets you form a perfect grip over the device. Like its previous models, the extractor is placed within the hob itself and caters to the aesthetic, multi-functional, and integration needs. With meticulous design in mind, the NikolaTesla Unplugged extractor is smartly developed to separate the cooking zone from the control area.

A linear central glass flap distinguishes the cooking area from the extraction area, concealing and activating the extractor with a simple touch whenever required. Boasting an Autocapture feature, like the previous model, the user can easily focus on cooking as the extractor can take care of the unpleasant odors and the vapors by gradually adjusting and lowering itself to remove odors left behind.

There are automatic features incorporated within the hob which include melting, warming, and simmering, thus saving you the trouble of stirring. You don’t even have to worry about ingredients or gravy overflowing as these features of the Unplugged NikolaTesla take care of that as well. It also helps you cook faster by bringing water to a boil much quicker than a traditional hob.
