Irrespective of whether the tiny house movement began as a trend or necessity, the fact remains that tiny homes have become a global phenomenon and are expected to grow multifold by 2030. While many reasons have steered the growth of the tiny house movement, the primary driver behind the increasing popularity of tiny homes is their efficiency within a compact space. The Hamlin tiny house designed by Tiny House Building Company is a classic example of this.

Despite measuring 18 feet in length, the mobile home features a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The micro-dwelling even sleeps four people in a layout that maximizes the limited space available. The tiny home is clad in metal or wood siding in a dual-tone blue and white palette with white trim. It comes poised on a double-axle trailer and has a 2000-watt solar panel system on its roof that allows the towable dwelling to operate off the grid.

Inside, the home comprises a living room with a sofa. Since the interior is a bit cramped, the sofa sits adjacent to the kitchen cabinet. Speaking of the kitchen, it is fully functional for such a petite structure including shelving, countertops, a sink, a propane-powered oven range, and a full-size stainless steel fridge.

The kitchen features storage-integrated stairs that lead up to the loft bedroom of the house. Similar steps can be found at the entrance of the home too. These steps lead to a separate loft. Combined, the lofts sleep four people with ease, which is quite impressive given it just measures 18 feet in length.

Each loft is accoutered with windows on both sides, so the space stays bright all the time. The lofts are well-proportioned and have plenty of headroom compared to other lofts that are only ideal for storage purposes.

The tiny home also has a bathroom that can be accessed from the kitchen. The bathroom includes a glass shower cabin, a corner bath sink alongside a motion-activated faucet, and a toilet. As aforementioned, the Hamlin tiny house can work off-grid but generally gets its electricity from a standard RV-style hookup. The tiny house will cost you $75,000.
