Around Pavilion is a spherically shaped structure built inside the King’s Garden in Copenhagen. Conceived by Danish  design studio Christiansen & Andersen, run by Jesper Kort Andersen and Mikkel Kjærgård Christiansen, the pavilion includes an exhibition area that is designed to host music, theater and storytelling event in the garden, which is surrounding and complementing the 17th century castle.

Inspired by the walking alleys of the Rosenborg Castle, the spherical pavilion contains walking area inside the wooden structure, giving playful and rhythmic sagacity to geometric structure of the garden. Built out of batons of light Nordic pine, the structure is crafted by apprentice carpenter from a local college.

The wooden floors of boulevard gently creates a wave pattern, helping people and kids to enter the pavilion through long steps done with the help of waves. Facing four corners of the castle, the around pavilion is designed in a way to provide glimpse of surrounding environment. This spherical structure beautifully complements the garden, offering spatial experience.

Center of the entire structure comes with open green circular ground for hosting plays, picnics and anything one feels comfortable with. On the other hand, the boulevard provides a complete covered place apt for seating and walking purpose.

Trees around the spherical structure elegantly covers its main body, leaving just a glimpse of wooden attic that seems to be rising atop tree branches. The Around Pavilion beautifully complements historic beauty and design of the garden, meanwhile adds charming aesthetics to the lush green environment.
