French furniture designer Pierre Paulin’s iconic pieces still rule the hearts of people around the world. Following the successful reissue of the Pacha collection, it is exciting to see Gubi revisit one of his most beloved pieces. The F300 Lounge Chair, which first appeared in the late ’60s, is coming back in new materials. With its fluid curves and novel materiality, it looks straight from the future.

The F300 sports the relaxed, low-slung lounge style of the 1970s, while its timeless, futuristic design has kept it popular over the years. Its playful shape and comfort, along with bold style and versatility, have even earned it a spot in MoMA’s permanent collection. The user can sit in multiple positions – from standard seating to legs slung casually over the side.

The original F300 chair was made from fiberglass or injected polyurethane, while the latest model is responsibly upgraded for the 21st century. It is now crafted in Italy from the engineered polymer HiREK, which is made using industrial plastic waste.

This material is a durable plastic that is lightweight, UV-resistant, weather-resistant, and pressure-resistant. It also creates a smooth, glossy finish without extra processing. The lightness of the material make the chair highly portable, allowing you to easily move around the house or take outdoors.

The F300 reflects a perfect balance of sculpture, elegance, and comfort in its design. Gubi has also re-issued the T877 table to accompany the chair. Both of the pieces work well as standalone statement pieces or can be combined in any space to meet different needs.

The F300 lounge chair comes in Alabaster White and a classic 1970s Pastel Green. The T877 is also available in these colors, along with Violet Ice, Honey Gold, and Molé, making it easy to match with different interior styles. The price for the F300 chair starts from $2,299, while the T877 table starts from $399.

You can have the GUBI x Pierre Paulin experience at DWR SoHo at NYCxDesign 2025.
