IFA 2025 is less vibrant for projectors compared to the previous year. Although projectors aren’t drawing much focus, certain highlights have kept the booths of projector companies lively. XGIMI stands out in this regard, showcasing its Horizon 20 series at IFA 2025, a trio of projectors designed to elevate home entertainment to new heights.

Comprising the Horizon 20, Horizon 20 Pro, and the flagship Horizon 20 Max, this new line-up builds on the success of last year’s Horizon series, bringing brighter visuals, smarter features, and a gaming-friendly edge that could make these projectors a serious contender against traditional TVs. The standout among these is the flagship Horizon 20 Max, which boasts an impressive 5,700 ISO lumens of brightness. This leaves it just behind Dangbei’s S7 Ultra Max, which claims to produce 5,800 lumens of brightness.

Nevertheless, XGIMI’s  5,700 ISO lumens claim is a significant jump from its predecessors, like the Horizon Ultra’s 2,300 ISO lumens or the Horizon S Max’s 3,100, making it bright enough to deliver vibrant visuals even in well-lit rooms or during daytime viewing. This is possible courtesy of a new X-Master Red Ring Lens and RGB triple-laser architecture, which helps the projector walk the talk. All three projectors support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Filmmaker Mode, and IMAX Enhanced, ensuring a cinematic experience with rich colors, sharp contrast, and fine details.

Each model comes equipped with Google TV, complete with native Netflix support, a feature long requested by XGIMI fans. This integration means seamless access to thousands of apps and streaming services right out of the box, making setup as simple as plugging in and streaming. In addition to these features, the projector also features lens shifting and optical zoom for precise image adjustments, along with an auto-framing system that takes the hassle out of aligning the picture. Not to mention, the new ‘Pro Tuning Menu’, which gives users more control over customization.

XGIMI projectors are known for luring gamers, and the Horizon 20 series is no different. As reported by The Verge, “Xgimi’s incredibly bright 4K projector targets daytime gamers,” offering a claimed 1ms input lag, a 240Hz refresh rate, and variable refresh rate (VRR) support. These specs make the projectors surprisingly competitive for gaming, rivalling the responsiveness of high-end TVs.

But here is the difficult part. XGIMI Horizon 20 series starts at $1,699, with the Pro version coming at $2,499 and the Max costing a whopping $2,999. The projectors are available for purchase on the XGIMI official website. XGIMI is simultaneously running an early bird campaign, which offers a discount of up to 20 percent, with XGIMI Horizon Max being available for $2,399.
