A family-centric tiny house that offers spaciousness with privacy evokes feelings of warmth and a sense of belonging. Tiny XXL House, manufactured by Atelier Bois d’ici, based in France, features two separate mezzanines on either side, providing ample privacy for both parents and children. The tiny house features essential and practical elements, such as a bypass system and greywater treatment, which make it self-sufficient.

The Tiny XXL house is built on a robust agricultural chassis, measuring 26 feet long and 11.5 feet wide. The tiny house’s width is huge compared to other French tiny houses, which are quite compact. With such incredible spaciousness, the house creates a unique blend between a compact tiny house and a regular house.

The tiny house’s exterior and interior are both clad with wood, which creates a warm, rustic aesthetic. It has a covered porch, which helps extend the living space outdoors. The pergola makes the porch feel airier and adds a stylish touch. If you love dining outdoors, you can easily set up a small dining table and enjoy your meals with your family.

The rustic tiny house uses a layered insulation system comprising wood wool insulation on the walls and floor. It provided a thick thermal barrier, which helps maintain stable indoor temperatures. An additional 1.4 inches of GUTEX (wood fiber board) enhances soundproofing and moisture regulation.

The tiny house’s spacious main floor measures up to 430 square feet, which creates an inviting space for communal areas. It includes a comfortable living room, a functional kitchen, and a bathroom. The dark anthracite grey aluminum windows seamlessly blend with the wooden interior, creating a visually striking look.

The large glazed door opens into the dining and kitchen space. Since the width of the house is quite generous, the rooms have more space compared to those in typical tiny houses. The peninsula-shaped kitchen, situated on the left side, offers ample cabinetry. The wooden countertop and cabinets make the kitchen feel soft and cozy.

The kitchen has propane-powered stoves, kitchen shelves, a fridge, and more. The big glazed windows make it look brighter and enhance the visual appeal. The dining table is placed in the kitchen, where you can sit and dine comfortably in the cushioned chairs. A small bar-style dining area is also located nearby, blending seamlessly into the tiny house’s wooden interior. It creates a social and casual atmosphere that makes interaction with people easier.

The living room features an L-shaped cushy sofa with a compact Arada 4.6-kilowatt wood-burning stove heater, which keeps the interior warm and cozy. The bathroom is adjacent to the living room, situated below the mezzanine. It has a shower, vanity sink, composting toilet, integrated washing machine, and storage facilities.

In the middle of the main floor, stairs with built-in storage lead to two separate mezzanine bedrooms. The decorative wooden handrails form a beautiful, gentle arch towards the stairs, adding to the organic charm of the rustic tiny house. The low-ceiling mezzanine bedrooms, located on either side of the house, have protective vertical wooden slat railings that provide safety.

The children’s bedroom feels playful, with a comfortable bed beside a wide glazed window that fills the space with light. The room has plenty of space for kids to play, read, and draw. A low bookshelf and cubby shelves along the bed keep books, toys, and art supplies easily within reach.

The parents’ bedroom has a sleek layout with large glazed windows on both sides of the wooden walls. It has a double bedroom and two rows of cubby shelves for storage. You can easily place picture frames, showpieces, and other decorative items on the shelves.

As mentioned earlier, the tiny house features greywater treatment, managed by the Aquatiris phyto-tiny system. It is an eco-friendly method for managing wastewater, utilizing plant fibers like reeds to filter out waste. The bypass system enables you to switch between different water sources, such as the main water supply or rainwater/greywater.

The spacious Tiny XXL house meets all the needs of a small family, including spacious living, privacy, optimized storage, and wastewater management. Its design has an organic and rustic charm that creates a natural ambience. The neutral color palette complements the natural and rustic charm of the eco-friendly house.
