These Cute, Anti-Theft Bag Charms Conceal AirTags Inside Their Fluffy Bodies

Cats, bunnies, and teddies with concealed AirTag pockets

Most tracker accessories look like exactly what they are: metallic coins enclosed in rubberized fasteners. There is no discreteness about them. Even if they are doing their job of keeping track of your bags, they are not really discreet about it. AirTags, Tiles, and GPS fobs clip onto the bags and look unimpressive, but a new crop of bag charms from VANA PURE is quietly rethinking how security should look and feel.

VANA PURE’s new keychain charm series takes advantage of the demand for bag charms and turns them into incognito anti-theft tools, the company notes. Just because losing a bag is not about inconvenience, it’s monetary loss and a personal setback; safeguarding it should not be obvious, it should be discreet and capable at the same time.

At first glance, the playful and plush accessories look like cats, bunnies, or teddies – the fluffy shapes they are made in – but a closer look proves that these are personal trinkets fashionable people will use to identify their bags and make them feel personal.

Each charm is provided with a hidden zipper pocket, which is designed to allow you to stash an AirTag or other small tagging accessories in it to keep them out of sight, without making it obvious to someone else. Instead of advertising that the bag contains a tracker, these charms rely on what security professionals call “security through obscurity.” A thief might notice and cut an exposed AirTag strap, but sitting inside one of these toys, miscreants are far less likely to suspect that the tag resides inside a fuzzy cat dangling from the bag.

The concealed pocket, with naturally camouflaging zipper line, is perhaps the standout design detail across the collection, which comes in three interesting variants. A hidden pocket plush cat ($10), long fur bunny ($12), and AirTag teddy ($16). While the plush cat blends seamlessly into work totes, backpacks, and gym bags – unlike the rubberized accessories – without competing with luxe hardware, the fur bunny uses its long fur to conceal the zipper and quietly protect its contents. The classic teddy with its facets will be my personal recommendation for gifting.

According to the information received, what makes these charms particularly interesting is the fact that their hidden pockets aren’t limited only to trackers. Users can make use of the pocket to stash tiny EDC, cash for emergencies, jewelry, cosmetics, and even medicines. If clipping on something that looks like a car key fob on your bag is not your idea of tracking and security, these plush charms solve the real problem with their feel and purpose.
