Alberta-based tiny house manufacturer Teacup Tiny Homes is flaunting a new mobile home in its catalog. Dubbed the Laurel tiny house, the mobile home measures 34 feet long and comes mounted on a triple-axle trailer. The tiny house is finished in white vertical siding capped by a metal roof, and “has been customized to meet the client’s needs, wants and goals for tiny living,” the company states.
Like a standard tiny house on wheels, the Laurel’s layout features a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. But what sets this dwelling apart from other tiny homes is the inclusion of a bathtub and a fireplace inside, two coveted features still rare in tiny houses on wheels.
The interior spans 423 square feet. Visitors enter the living room first, which features a large sofa that seats four. The sofa sits opposite an electric fireplace built into the wall, with space above it to mount a TV. Dwellers can decide for themselves whether they’d rather hang a frame there instead.
Adjacent to the living room is a storage-integrated staircase that can hold small items such as accessories and books, as well as bulkier items like baskets. The staircase leads up to the loft bedroom. Like other homes in Teacup’s catalog, the Laurel features a loft bedroom with a low ceiling, though windows on both sides keep it far from feeling cramped. A side table built into the space adds extra storage.
Head downstairs and you’ll reach the kitchen, equipped with cabinetry, a countertop, floating shelves, a double sink, and plenty of storage. Appliances aren’t in short supply either: the Laurel comes with a four-burner oven, a refrigerator and a dishwasher, the latter a rare luxury in tiny homes. There’s also a small dining table that seats two.

The Laurel tiny house doesn’t stop there. A secondary loft, accessed via ladder, offers even more space and can sleep a couple or double as a storage room. The tiny house comfortably sleeps four.
As for the bathroom, most tiny homes make do with a compact shower and sink, but the Laurel breaks the mold with a full bathtub. Alongside it sits a vanity sink, shower, and toilet, with windows wrapping the entire space so dwellers can bathe while taking in the scenery outside.
