Spanish manufacturer BD Barcelona Design has reproduced Portlligat Sunbed that was designed by Salvador Dali in 1962 for garden and terrace of his house on Costa Brava. The original bed was made from olive wood, this one, however, is recreated using solid Iroko wood with polyamide wheels.
Certified by the Gala Salvador Dalí Foundation, the reproduction of Portlligat Sunbed is included in BD Barcelona’s Art Editions catalogue. It will be exclusively produced in a numbered edition. Just like the original design, it has a head, torso, ribs, arms, hands, legs and feet – all made from plain wood slats.
The company is also offering an optional upholstered cushion with water repellent foam making it suitable for outdoor use. The cover can be removed for washing.
