It’s better to travel with your better half, family, or friends than to roam about by yourself. For travel enthusiasts, the dilemma is whether to explore the world in their camper or lodge in a luxury Airbnb cabin.

If Airbnb is an obvious choice, 2022 saw some fascinating stays spring up on the vacation rental portal. From Wonder Bee & Bee cabin in Italy to the Glass Cottage in Iceland, the options have been enthralling, to say the least. To help you nail down a choice in search of peace, tranquility, and fun; we have shortlisted the ten best Airbnb stays of 2022 that will continue to lure travelers in the coming year as well.

This exquisitely finished abode is characterized by antique furnishings and hardwood flooring, making it a dream destination for love birds. The treehouse is ideal for couples seeking solace and privacy amid nature and can be rented for $400.

This particular Airbnb is for people who crave a little trepidation in life. Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, The Manor Master chamber features a gothic stone exterior inducing a spooky vibe. Featuring tall ceilings and plenty of windows that allow natural light in, the entire house is decorated with oddities and antiques that offer a scarier feel to the place. A single room in the house can be booked for $90 per night.

A partition in the space accommodates the bathroom and bedroom. The living space is bathed in natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass window on the front. The immersive tiny cabin is nestled on the edge of a picturesque gully overlooking the coastal cliffs of Sleaford Bay, Australia. The tiny cabin serves as a perfect abode with jam-packed features. Being off-grid the tiny home is powered by a solar system. The best part about the who thing is the location that offers serene across Sleaford Bay to the vast expanse of pure white sandhills separating Port Lincoln National Park from the rugged southern ocean. The tiny home can be booked for $390.

Earthen Home in Scotland

Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Ben Rinnes mountain, this earthen home is a cozy hideaway in the rural Moray of Scotland. Accommodating a max of six people, the house has two quirky bunk beds, a quaint double bedroom, and two futons that can be converted into single beds. Apart from offering breathtaking views of the nearby area from every window, the house brings a sense of eco-friendliness with its green roof and natural wood construction. Rent this earthen home for $332.

Glass Cottage in Iceland

One of my dream destinations and my personal favorite on the list is the glass cottage dubbed Blár. What makes an ordinary glass cottage worth $600 a night is its location. Based in Hella, Iceland, the Airbnb is located in a lava desert in the south of Iceland. The best part, you get to witness the swirling views of the northern lights and slumber under the starry night. Furthermore, there is a Jacuzzi on an outside deck so you’d not really regret shedding money.

The One-and-Only Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand

The One and Only Hobbiton

I will be concluding the list with a hobbit house that shall be available for stay beginning next year. However, the One-and-Only Hobbiton (the real-life location of the Hobbit movie) was announced in 2022 and it would have been a blatant crime to miss it from our list. Despite being available for a short duration of time, it is one of the coziest places to spend a night. The bookings for 2023 are closed for now, but if luck rides by your side, who knows you might spend a night in Middle-earth.

We hope you’d fancy one of these Airbnbs. Do write to us about your experience in the comment section if you happen to spend a night in one of the above. Thank you for staying a loyal reader of our magazine as we need your constant support and love in growing. I, on behalf of the entire team at Homecrux, would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
