Writing about a camping trailer is way harder than towing it. I have to ensure, I don’t end up missing any key details, whether it is the exterior sheathing or the interior lining. Then, there are an array of off-grid and off-road features alongside interior furnishing, which I can’t afford to skip either. I also have to keep the write-up tight and to the point. So, what makes me discuss the nitty-gritty aspects of writing a camper trailer? Well, it’s the latest rig by BRS Offroad that has me intrigued and muddled to the point that I am struggling with what to discuss and what to pass.

The Australian trailer manufacturing company has mastered the art of blending innovation with elegance and its latest creation, the Pursuit Carbon, is no exception. This black beauty not only vanishes seamlessly into the nocturnal landscape but also boasts remarkable functionality for adventurous souls. Measuring 19.7 feet long and 9.2 feet high, the trailer is incredibly spacious to host three campers along with a gaggle of furnishing and appliances. But, that’s for us to discuss later. First, let’s dive into the robust construction of the trailer.

Interestingly, the camper trailer (despite its name) doesn’t feature carbon fiber construction. It rather boasts a composite shell that offers excellent insulation and durability for off-grid adventures. Flaunting a sleek black aesthetic, a departure from its original dual-tone design, the trailer is beautiful and functional.

For those confused, BRS Offroad unveiled the Pursuit camper trailer back in 2018, but it was only in 2023 that the company released the Carbon edition, hence enhancing the trailer into a two-model lineup. Nevertheless, the Pursuit Carbon’s robust construction includes a hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis, airbag suspension, and all-terrain tires, helping you scale the roughest of terrains.

While camper trailers like Raptor X may lure you with their five-person layout; BRS Offroad chooses not to compromise on quality, even if that means accommodating fewer people. The trailer features a queen bedroom with a vast stargazing window overhead and includes a couple of kitchens (one indoor and another outdoor). A hard-floor bathroom hatch is meticulously crafted to enhance the camping experience.

“The Pursuit Carbon is the flagship for BRS offroad and features the best equipment that the industry offers. That mixed with customer feedback, internal usage, and over a decade of refinement has eventuated to this one hell of a camper. Designed to meet the needs of adventure-bound folk and a portal to those that seek more.” Ben Souter, Managing Director of BRS Off-road tells Homecrux.

The indoor kitchen sports a four-burner cooktop, dual 30L fridge drawers, and a sink. The outdoor kitchen offers a grill combo and a modern benchtop/splashback layout. Other trailer features include convertible bench seats that transform into a sleeping berth, an entertainment system featuring a smart TV, Garmin command center. Some less essential yet convenient features include multiple storage options, power outlets, and ducted AC and heating.

For off-grid adventures, the trailer is loaded with an Enerdrive battery system, 380-watt solar panels, and generous water storage. The camper offers the flexibility to customize it according to customer preferences. The bad news, it’s only available in Australia at the moment for a starting price of AUD 136,990. Don’t be upset though, the company is discussing a launch in the US and is currently in talks with investors.
