For Harmony-Peronda, Madrid-based studio Dsignio has created two ultimate stone washbasins called Drop and Wave. Highlighting natural connection between water and carved stones, these two washbasins are made from a single block of hand-sculpted stone, which seems to have been pulled out from purest of streams.

Designed to create a zen aesthetic appeal in any contemporary bathroom, these stone washbasins look like a huge piece of rock with a beautifully carved layout.

Drop Washbasin

Drop washbasin is inspired by an instant drop of water that falls on a still water. The sinuous and smoothly carved form of the washbasin depicts the first drop of water that turns smooth water surface into ripples. The design studio has beautifully captured the beautiful moment of “a drop coming in contact with still water” in form of a stone bathroom fixture.

Wave Washbasin

Wave washbasin, on the other hand, is designed to symbolize the ripples that extend across the still water after a drop of water falls into a smooth surface of a lake or any other water body. Besides serving as a simple hand-washing unit, Wave washbasin also functions as a washbasin vanity top and has enough space to accommodate small bathroom accessories on its surface.

Similarities

Both these gorgeous washbasins are available in different finishes such as black stone, cream, and sandstone. Moreover, these modern bathroom fixtures come complete with a rectangular mirror and a curved wooden countertop, which can be designed in finishes like oak, walnut, and white wood.

These stone washbasins are likely to bring natural essence into a modern bathroom decor. Both the stone washbasins by Dsignio were presented at this year’s Italian ceramics fair Cersaie. For more information, visit the Peronda website.
