Daniela Carneiro and Eduardo Ribeiro, a Portuguese couple who were traveling in a camper van for years have started Truck Surf Hotel to share their lifestyle with travelers looking to explore new cities and exciting surfing destinations onboard a fully-equipped hotel on wheels.
The Truck Surf Hotel is a converted Mercedes Actros with a hydraulic system, making it possible to expand the walls for creating additional space. On the first floor, there’s a living room with couches, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom complete with toilet and shower, and a lounge terrace to chill out in the open air.
Upstairs there are the five expanding rooms– four shared double rooms with bunk bed, and one private double room with a couple bed. Each room is equipped with air conditioning and a locker to keep the valuables.
It is a one-of-a-kind rental motorhome with an amazing pop-up upper floor. With wood-style walls and flooring along with a number of windows to create a cozy atmosphere.
The concept of renting accommodation in a double-decker motorhome is really a good idea, as any traveler would love to experience mobile life for once. However, as there are only five travel seats in this motor hotel, guests may have to travel in a separate minibus which might ruin the trip.
Starting from June 2018, they are offering a shared double room for about €758 (US$908) per person or a private double room for about €1,592 (US$1907) per two persons, along with breakfast buffet, daily surf lessons, and other luring facilities.
