Indian e-commerce company Flipkart in partnership with smartphone manufacturer Nokia is launching a smart TV with JBL sound in India. The partnership is backed by Flipkart’s consumer insights, which found that poor sound quality is one of the major concerns for customers purchasing TVs in India. The new Nokia smart TV comes with 24 Watt speakers, DTS TruSurround, and Dolby Audio to enhance the audio experience.

It’s not just the sound prowess alone, the Nokia TV will boast a 55-inch UHD screen and use Intelligent Dimming and MEMC technology, Dolby Vision and HDR 10 for a truly cinematic experience.
Furthermore, it includes Clear View technology and Clear Sound technology to reduce noise for digitally streamed content. The TV generates a brightness of 500 nits and has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and contrast ratio of 1200:1.

Powered by Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system and equipped with PureX quad-core processor with 2.25GB RAM and 16GB ROM, it allows installing apps from Google Play Store. There are 3 HDMI and 2 USB ports to connect to external devices. In addition, this TV comes with Google Voice Assistant and hotkeys for Netflix and YouTube on the Bluetooth remote. You will be able to control the TV with simple voice commands.
The Nokia smart TV has been launched on December 10, for an asking price of Rs 41,999 on Flipkart. There are plans to release more Nokia branded smart TVs in the near future.
