It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the chair in my bedroom serves as a battleground for my worn clothes. The clothes, that I have worn for a few hours; they’re neither quite dirty for the laundry, and definitely not fresh enough to go back into the closet. So, there they pile up, caught in midpoint between cleanliness and chaos!

Don’t mistake this for an act of laziness; it’s a strategic move! Laying them on the chair adds to the chaos, but it does allow them a chance to breathe, to reclaim some freshness before their next adventure. All justifications aside; if you’re like me, looking for a viable solution to this self-inflicted bedroom clutter and an orderly way to put the worn clothes to breathe fresh; welcome Floor-Drobe®, an interesting solution to keep the room tidy and the clothes in pristine condition.

With the nifty wooden coat hanger-style design and provided hooks – that make up the Floor-Drobe- you can reclaim your chair for sitting and start every new day with a sense of calm and order in life. Of course, it’s not the biggest problem of world order that the Floor-Drobe wants to solve, but for anyone who struggles with the dilemma of where to put the worn clothes, you know this can be a game changer.

Born essentially out of necessity, it is the brainchild of Jon Thurling, who is convinced that this ladder-like product, crafted from sustainably sourced wood from Vietnam and provided complete with movable, adjustable hooks, is a winning idea. Essentially why, he is bringing the Floor-Drobe for crowdfunding to Kickstarter.

The easy-to-use design permits adjustable hooks to be moved about the surface of the wooden slabs fixed to the metal poles in shape of a ladder. Since these hooks aren’t fixed onto the ladder, a user can adjust them to make space for as many clothes as they want, without the frame looking too cluttered. The hooks are specially engineered 9cm curved (miniature) coat hanger type, which do not stretch the fabric of clothes like the normal hooks.

Its compact design is envisioned to fit seamlessly into any bedroom (or hallway) space, offering a designated spot for the in-between clothes. As a solution that not only prevents clothes from cluttering the chair (or the floor for that matter) but also protects them from wrinkles and damage, the Floor-Drobe will save many like me the effort to rummage through heaps of clothing starting at an early bird price of £60 ($75).
