Located in the wilderness of Quirindi, Australia, the Gilay tiny retreat is an Airbnb rental designed by Australia-based Cameron Anderson Architects. It is a place for those who wish to escape the hustle bustle of busy life to find a moment of reprieve. From a unique angular structure to incorporating little details embodying thoughtful comfort and luxury inside out, it is ideal for couples and solo travelers.

Although the vacation rental looks tiny when compared to the myriad of listings, it is makes up for it with comfort and luxury. The exterior is characterized by sloped metal roof design that becomes an attention grabbing feature, large overhangs supporting the structure, and charred timber cladding. Huge slanted windows are fitted into the structure to keep the interior bright and well-ventilated.

If you want to relax outdoors, the hosts have taken that into consideration by adding a luxurious hot tub to soak up in a relaxing bath with a view and a fire pit for a warm evening with good company. There is a deck as well to set up an outdoor lounge, where you can sip on your coffee.

With a 430 square feet of living space, the interior has an open layout with timber cladding. The living space features a wood-fired fireplace to keep the interior warm and fuzzy with two chairs. There is a king-size bed is located behind the living space in a corner.

There is a full kitchen with a countertop, a sink, black cabinets, and floating shelves to place wine glasses, decorative items and utensils. There are appliances like a cooktop and a toaster to cook meals. Big windows on both sides offer views of the outdoors to keep you amused as you cook and idle.

It is a cozy space to sit in peace and be productive, to savor every bite while looking out at the immersive landscape. The bathroom is past the kitchen with a sink, a shower, a toilet, and a closet space.

Moreover, it offers off-grid facility with solar power, battery storage, and rainwater harvesting water system. The Gilay tiny retreat is warm inside and robust outside, making it a serene and luxurious getaway. You can rent the retreat on Airbnb for AUD 660 (roughly $440 per night).
