Habitat House: Waterfront vacation home perfect for family gatherings

Nowadays, people with a lot of money like spending their family vacation at waterfront holiday resorts, and they are even interested in buying lakeside properties. UK-based Lower Mill Estate in Cotswolds is a community of luxury vacation residences featured with award-winning architecture to provide ideal relaxing locations to the guests. One among these residences is the ‘Habitat House’ built by Featherstone Young which boasts designer’s vision of blending nature with modern architecture. They achieved it by designing a sloping roof with wildflowers and grass planted on it to attract wildlife. This flagship design has been nominated for the ‘Best House Design’ category at the Sunday Times British Home Awards.

The Habitat House is made from insulated panels and cedar planks which displays its exteriors distinctively. Designers have shortened the height of second floor to give extra space for the featured sloping roof.  A number of large-pane windows and glass doors are included to let in natural light throughout the day. Moreover, the separate balconies offer stunning natural views around, and make it a great destination for people who want to explore outdoors. Cotswold stone has been used to make the chimney and elevations of the building.

A big wooden patio overlooking the lake and forest provides pleasing environment for open-air gatherings. The backside space of the Habitat House is used to park cars and to keep other sporting gear. The floor to ceiling glass doors adds elegance and stylishness to the facade of this residence. Every space of the building is equipped with advanced heating system, sanitaryware and low energy lighting fixtures.

Waterside location of the Habitat House makes it a great vacation home to enjoy nature along with a number of water sports, cycling, fishing and camping activities. Interiors are meant to offer luxury with a number of modern home amenities, and other contemporary details which makes every resident’s vacation unforgettable. This holiday home is an attractive investment for those who want a bespoke abode to follow a lavish lifestyle.
