Do you want to enjoy the benefits of a smart door lock? There are hundreds of options available out there, but if you want to make your existing door lock smart, the Keymitt Smart Lock might be the most ideal alternative. Just attach it on top of an existing door lock from the inside and you have it.

Using this, you can now unlock your door with gestures or a companion mobile app. It also comes with auto lock feature.

The Keymitt Smart Lock works with deadbolts, euro cylinder, mortise door locks and one can even customize it to particular needs.

It uses 256-bit AES dynamic key encryption that makes it formidable to crack. And if someone is trying to make an unethical move, it will send you an alert on your smartphone. You can add specific people to access list and get complete information when they have entered inside.

The lock comes with an optional USB-powered Wi-Fi Hub. Using the Hub you can interact with more than one Keymitt lock simultaneously, provided the locks are within standard Bluetooth range of each other.

Furthermore, the Hub allows remote control and 3rd party integrations with Google, Alexa and Siri. The Keymitt Smart Lock can also be useful for self-check-in BnB or guest house.

If you wish to own this retrofitting smart lock, it is currently up for crowd-funding on Kickstarter. Pledge a minimum of €99 ($110) to get one without the hub or €139 to get it with the Wi-Fi Hub.

Unfortunately this device brakes after 3 weeks of use.
    Technical support is very weak.
They won’t refund sending it back.
This was a kickstarter project than ended up scamming all US based contributors.
Nowadays, it’s a weak enterprise with very faulty device.
    Shame really.
