Soon after birth, infants spend most of their time in a cradle during the first few months of their life. Therefore, baby furniture designer Charlie Crane has designed the Kumi crib – a comforting cocoon for newborns to enjoy a good time while sleeping or exploring the world outside of their cot.

This crib has been designed specifically to ensure that the infant gets sound sleep and the sweetest dreams soon after birth. The design of this cradle blends modernity and tradition with its graphic, contemporary lines while still serving as a classic cradle to soothe and sway the baby.

It has a millenary lateral swing for delicate movement to help babies fall asleep faster. Meanwhile, its minimal and contemporary lines give both lightness and security to the entire design. The mattress cover has been made from organic cotton quilted with organic wool for maximum comfort.

The Kumi crib’s natural mattress also offers several hygienic advantages. It has coconut fiber that’s naturally hypoallergenic, anti-dust mite and it’s great at filtering out unwanted pollutants or allergens in the air to help your baby enjoy a sound sleep. The coconut fiber also helps reduce humidity and condensation, hence, it’s ideal for babies that sweat a lot.

The unique cradle is available in four lace colors – Pink, Aqua, Black & White, and Hazelnut. The Kumi crib is priced at €369 (approx. $440) on Toc Toc Kids.
