We are nearly a month away from Halloween and it’s the perfect time to decide what items are going to feature in your Halloween party decorations. Apart from interior decoration and spooky animated lawn animatronics, you can also make accessories that add to the fearful display and make your Halloween even grander.

The Halloween hallows will reach your doorstep through the scary Halloween box, which can be kept in a corner or if required, can be suspended in the mid-air as well. Created by Tierramisu, this scary box is guaranteed to frighten your guest and friends.

This DIY motion-activated box serves as the base of the horror which secretly houses a spider inside. As soon as someone comes close to the box, the spider housed inside falls down and scares the holy hell out of the person. One can only imagine the intensity of the scream your friends will come up with.

The box is created using an algorithm that detects motion and is based on an Arduino board. The spider falls and climbs back up with the help of a stepper motor and a servo motor installed. The whole box is then wrapped around an artificial spider web giving it a spooky touch.

If you want to give it a try, the electronics required to build this spider web box include a Distance Sensor, Servo motor, Stepper (motor), Wires, and a power bank which is responsible for its functioning. Other accessories which were used include a solid wooden box, foam board, nylon hilum, spray paint, and faux spider web.
