Homeowners may soon forget annoyance of increasing power bills- all thanks to New Town Builders’, Colorado-based custom homebuilders latest energy-efficient home designs. The firm has designed the net-zero energy homes that don’t depend on external resources for power generation. In fact, these building structures are capable of generating more energy on their own and utilize only a fraction out of the total harvested power.

These homes are built with rooftop solar panels, fully insulated glass doors and windows, energy efficient appliances and other construction techniques to reduce energy loss. All these features and installations helps to cut down energy as well as natural-gas bills to such extent that homeowners don’t even have to pay anything for all power supplies. This is because the house can generate enough power on its own for all energy requirements.

Due to the amazing energy-efficient home design, the firm has bagged prestigious Top Green Awards at National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show (IBS). It is not the first time when someone has created a sustainable home design, as recently we acquainted you with Archiblox carbon-positive prefab home, which also works on the same principle.

This proves that homebuilders are now focusing more on resource-efficient and sustainable buildings for future. The future homes are certainly going to be self-reliable and durable. Check out the video given below to find out more about net-zero energy home designs.
