Design Studio NG Architects has come up with a multifunctional chair that effortlessly fits into small spaces. Dubbed Spring, this has been specially designed for tiny studios and confined living rooms. It basically starts out as a normal side table but can instantly transform into a chair with a backrest with the push of a button.

Iranian architect and designer Navid Ghadini took inspiration from a flower bud to make this magnificent chair. Just like a flower bud, the chair blossoms and will remind you of the spring season – thus the name Spring.

The designer used oak wood with natural and white colors to make this chair. He first laid out the wooden sheets, then cut them into circular pieces and employed built-in aluminum compression springs, which when pressed down transform the table into a comfy chair.

Spring has been designed by keeping standard ergonomic of the human body in mind. The chair is the winner of the A’ Design Award in Furniture Design Category 2020-2021.
