Open plan offices have their set of merits but without the downside of lack of privacy and distraction. Finding a place for a quick call with the client or a peaceful setting to think out of the box is just not possible. Thankfully a company has gotten down to present a viable solution for this.
Australian Design + Industry has come up with Nook, a modular soundproof booth as a solution. Designed for open plan offices, it is a stylish soundproof pod that can be placed in any corner, allowing employees to talk on the phone or work in seclusion without having to leave the work zone.
Made from recycled plastic bottles and ethically certified wood, Nook also boasts eco-friendly credentials. It is delivered flat-packed and can be set up in less than an hour without additional tools. The pod is equipped with two 12V fans and LED lights. Furthermore, there is a desk, USB ports, and electric sockets for more user convenience.
