One pursues an oil barrel as a rusty and bulky object but with little artistry these metal drums can be successfully transformed into usable furniture. If you don’t trust me, check out the most creative ways to reuse oil drums as furniture. Although, I didn’t intend to introduce you to some old oil barrel that mutates into a chair, bench or table rather I am penning this post to introduce you to custom designed oil barrel that functions as a pet bed.

Meant for both canine and feline, this oil drum pet bed is designed by Indusigns, a Dutch interior design studio expertise in transforming barrels into functional items. Made from a 200-liter oil barrel cut in half, the pet bed looks like a basket. If you look at the pictures, it doesn’t even feel like it is upcycled from a metal oil drum. It actually looks like a brand new finished pet furniture.

This sturdy dog bed is available in multiple colors, with black and rusty being the popular choice. It also comes with a matching grey cushion that will make your cat and dog feel comfortable. I can also spot cute little legs in the pictures that hold up the barrel pet bed.

Measuring around 34 inches long and 24 inches wide, the Indusigns’ oil drum pet bed is suitable for small to medium size dogs and almost all cats. It can be availed at the official website for (€ 240-€ 280) $285-$330 approx.
