Growing your own herbs and greens is a dream for many, and Austria-based omni.farm makes it easier than ever with its latest product. Featuring a sleek vertical and modular form, this indoor hydroponic system lets you grow all year round, right on your kitchen countertop as neatly as your coffee maker. There is no need to worry about watering schedules or maintenance hassles either. The system takes care of everything automatically, so you can enjoy fresh, lush harvests without much intervention.

The set up is simple and can be completed in just two minutes. The indoor garden comes as a compact modular kit that can fit in a shoe box. You need to put in omni.pods to the device, add water and harvest in four to six weeks. The pods are prefilled with soil, seeds, and nutrients that slowly release over 2-3 months. They are fully compostable and can even be transplanted into your backyard garden. You can choose from prefilled ones with organic seed varieties or reusable pods that you can fill with your own seeds.

After seeding, the roots grow through the soil-filled omni.pods into the inner chamber of the farm, hanging in free air and getting dripped with water regularly. This way, roots absorb a lot of oxygen and nutrients to ensure balanced growth. The only task you need to do is re-fill the water tank (which looks like a coffee pot) after a few days.

The device has a collapsible design that maximizes space when plants need extra space during growth, without taking much floor space. The omni.farm stands 11 inches tall with a 5-inch diameter, and its height can expand up to 20 inches to adapt with growing plants.

It can grow up to 12 plants at a time. With its glass water tank, it is super easy to monitor water level and re-fill it whenever needed. Another great highlight is easy to clean design owing to its easily removable parts that can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

The omni.farm also comes with a range of modular accessories to suit different growing needs. You can choose between two water tank sizes – 2 liters and 5 liters – depending on the stage of plant growth. The larger tank requires fewer refills and is suitable for busy people. Other accessories include growth supports for climbing plants, microgreen trays, and an optional expansion ring that allows you to grow three extra plants.

The indoor garden is equipped with a small pump to circulate the nutrient mixed water at specific intervals. The water gets pumped to the top and distributed evenly to every pod. There are two small buttons on the Controller Module on its back to adjust the lighting and watering intervals. Each device also comes with a customized full spectrum LEDs to let you grow plants the entire year.

This vertical planter is currently offering more than 20 types of pods to grow fragrant herbs and crisp green varieties including basil, coriander, parsley, mint, spinach, cherry tomato, sweet pepper, and lettuce, etc.

If you wish to get one, it is currently crowd-funding on Kickstarter. You have to pledge its campaign for a minimum of $111 to get a set that includes everything needed to start growing. The delivery is slated for September 2025.
