UK-based Matti Kristian Tapaninaho of Ooni (previously Uuni) specializes in making portable and powerful pizza ovens. The company is known for creating the world’s first quad-fuelled pizza oven that burns regular wood, pallets, charcoal or gas. Now, they have come up with Ooni Karu portable pizza oven that uses wood and charcoal or both as fuel. It is also compatible with the Ooni Gas Burner if you want to cook with propane.

Ready to start cooking in 15 minutes, Ooni Karu reaches 932°F or 500°C and cooks tasty pizza in just 60 seconds. The Ooni Karu pizza oven features a ceramic fiber-insulated stainless steel body, a removable stone baking board and Flame Keeper technology for maximum heat retention. Moreover, the perforated fuel tray optimizes airflow to offer a powerful blast of searing heat. Users don’t need to worry about ash, as it falls down as the fuel burns.

Weighing just over 26 pounds, it can easily be taken outdoors. Simply fold up the legs and twist off the detachable chimney to store it inside the oven body. It can accommodate a pizza of up to 13” and also cook at low and slow temperatures for baking bread or preparing chicken dishes. There are cool-to-touch glass-reinforced nylon handles to ensure safety while cooking.

Every design aspect of Ooni Karu portable pizza oven is considered carefully in order to create a functional product that allows users cooking restaurant-quality pizza and cook so much more at home or in the outdoors.

You can back the Ooni Karu pizza oven on Kickstarter to see it become a reality. Pledge the campaign for a minimum of $260 to get one delivered to your doorsteps early next year.
