Like CES is a big name for all gadget and tech geeks, similarly Salone Del Mobile is Mecca for all furniture designers and lovers. Salone Del Mobile is a furniture fair organized by Cosmit in Milan every year in the month of April. The international design week welcomes hundreds of furniture, lighting, and other home furnishings manufactures and designer from around the world and offers a chance to interact with each others. Designers, manufacturers, and attendees from around the globe come under one roof to share and realize the latest furniture trends. It is the largest and one-of-a-kind trade fair in the world. The FieraMilano complex in Rho town of Milan is the leading venue for exhibition of all latest designer furniture and home décor items.
Like previous successful shows, this year too Cosmit is striving hard to make it a hit as the fair commences on April 9th 2013. The show was first held back in 1961 in order to promote Italian furniture and furnishing accessories. Since, then it has evolved continuously into a bigger and better event and has become a major happening of every calendar year. Now, people and designers from different parts of the world flock together to celebrate this great event. In 2012, 1255 exhibiters participated in the show who were appreciated by 292,370 visitors. This year also the organizing committee is expecting more than 300, 000 visitors and greater number of exhibiters will take part in the fair to make it even better than last year.
