Televisions have broken the normative boundaries and have made their way into our patio or terrace for good. As indoor TVs aren’t built to sustain the harsh outdoor exposure it ever so explains the extensive emergence and growing popularity of outdoor TVs. Harping on this trend, Samsung has unveiled an 85-inch ‘The Terrace’ Outdoor Neo QLED 4K TV as an addition to its existing line of Terrace Outdoor TVs.

Fondly dubbed ‘The Terrace Fun Sun’ it does what it claims, delivers Direct-Sun Protection optimizing outdoor picture quality to keep the TV safe. A permanent outdoor installation, this model boasts an IP56 rating offering improved weather-resistance for you to enjoy TV entertainment in the backyard. The upgraded Neo QLED panel used here is brighter and offers anti-glare viewing in direct sun without washing out.

As per Samsung, the TV offers screen protection for up to 6 hours with weathering temperatures as high as 40 degrees Celsius. The Terrace is the first in the realm of big screens to be regarded as the largest outdoor TV with a mini-LED backlight. Offering crisp definition with a wide viewing angle screen, the TV is bound to enhance off-center viewing.

The Terrace supports HDR10+ high dynamic range and features the company’s Quantum Processor 4K similar to its indoor TVs range. Supported with a solar cell remote, it comes with the ease of a built-in solar panel for battery-free charging.

A first of its kind, the TV is a haven for gamers as it is laden with 3,000-plus games with support for Samsung Gaming Hub. The Gaming Hub also supports a range of third-party Bluetooth wireless controllers and lets you go beyond just watching movies, TV shows, and sports. Available at pre-order valid till September 10, you need to shell out a whopping price of $19,999 to claim this outdoor TV from Samsung.
