Each tiny house manufacturer reserves a specialty that no one has managed to replicate. For Baluchon, it would be an excellent use of incredibly compact floor space. Modern Tiny Living is known for the inclusion of elevated living rooms. For France’s Optinid, that special trait is the incorporation of sunroof-like sliding roofs that allows the bedrooms to open up in its line of models, including the Stéphanie Tiny House.

The Stéphanie tiny house on wheels is named after its owner and measures 20 feet long. It is clad in fir on the outside and in painted spruce on the inside. With 220 square feet of interior space, the compact dwelling offers sleeping accommodations to six people.

But that is not the most attractive feature of the house. Its most alluring element is the sliding roof that opens up the main loft bedroom to the open skies where residents can enjoy the shimmering stars against the stark dark of the night.

The front glass door allows entry into the living room where a sofa bed can sleep two. A reachable ladder is placed next to the sofa bed to access the small loft that can be used for sleeping two people or for storing essentials. A gaggle of windows pours in abundant natural light to keep the space bright and airy.

Next to the living room is a hybrid office/music area. An electric piano is placed strategically that doubles up as a workspace when the owner needs it. Moreover, this area stores a sewing machine and integrates into the staircase leading to the main bedroom. The bedroom is outfitted with a roof that unlocks and slides open on rails when you wish to enjoy the pleasant weather.

The French tiny house has a small kitchen tucked under the main loft. It features an oven, a two-burner induction stove, a sink, and storage space. There is a pantry connected to a fresh air circulation system and a small retractable table providing a dining space. It even has a hidden wine rack compartment under the counter.

The bathroom of the Stéphanie tiny house is located at the far end of the home. It has a shower and a dry toilet. The house receives electricity from a ground-based solar power system and also has a standard mains hookup. There is no word on the house’s price but it is likely to cost around $65,000.
