Studio Proba x Bower Zendo Collection for modern homes

Studio Proba, New York-based design studio, has joined forces with another NYC design studio Bower for creating a collection of minimalist furniture pieces. Titled Zendo Collection, the series consists of three products including Pivot Fountain, Waterline Chair, and Nirvana Rug. Each piece bears unique but simple layout to counterpart with a minimal interior of any contemporary home.

Pivot Fountain is a huge cylinder-shaped unit that appears to have been sliced in the middle. The exterior is all white, whereas the sliced mid-section pivots out to reveal the colorful interior. Meanwhile, a flat stream of water flows gently from each section and circulates back up. It would be a centerpiece of any modern living room that’s looking for a dynamic touch.

Another striking piece from the collection is the geometric Waterline Chair. The base of the chair consists of a peach-tinted glass with an undulating “waterline” at its top edge. On the other hand, it boasts a soft and comfortable seating area with velvet upholstered top. The combination of shapes and colors makes it a sculptural object.

The last piece from the collection is the Nirvana Rug. Aptly name, this unique sculptural meditation rug runs from flooring up to the ceiling, metaphorically representing a journey of transcendence. You can also consider it depicting ‘steps of nirvana,’ while you meditate on the rug each morning.
