The famous mid-century modern-styled residence Stahl House was built in 1959 for Buck Stahl and his family in Hollywood Hills by Pierre Koenig. Since then this architectural gem has been a popular tourist attraction, as well as a source of inspiration for movies, architects, and photographers. The modern take on mid-century design has rolled the whole world in so deep obsession that now, from interior décor to home accessories including birdhouses and doghouses, we want everything with a retro vibe. US-based designer Paul of Etsy shop MidCenturyWoodShop also creates vintage-inspired objects for the home, from which the mid-century modern birdhouse inspired by Stahl House is among the most popular products offered at the shop.

Though we have featured a few of architecture-inspired birdhouses before, but this one is unique as it features a bird bath with a fountain powered by solar panel on the roof. The modernist-style design of the birdhouse is inspired by the iconic architecture of the Stahl House, Case Study House #22 which makes it a great accessory to comfort birds at your garden. Made from California Redwood, its entire body including the strong base is painted and dadoed along the main house. Its sloped roof elevates at a twelve-percent pitch with support beams mimicking the original roof on the Stahl House.
