Updated 4 January 2020: Trifo’s Ironpie smart robotic vacuum cleaner is now available for purchase on Amazon. There are 3 different models – m6, m6+, and H6. The pricing starts from $249 for Ironpie m6 robot vacuum cleaner.
Trifo has unveiled Ironpie, its AI-powered robot vacuum at CES 2019. This robotic floor cleaner is touted to do better than other premium robot vacuum cleaners available in the market and the price is also comparably low.
Controlled through the companion mobile app, it is able to clean faster while not bumping into furniture and other things. The robot vacuum works with Alexa and Google Home integration, making it a part of your smart home.
Trifo CEO Zhe Zhang said,
Ironpie represents a new generation of home robots, a smart robot vacuum that cleans faster, protects furniture better, is controllable from anywhere and with a host of features that improve on the original home vacuum concept.
Ironpie robot vacuum cleaner is powered with an ARMv8 quad-core processor and Trifo’s Intelligent Robotics Vision System (TIRVS). There is also a built-in array of sensors to track its real-time position and orientation, helping it avoids obstacle and prevent from falling down the stairs.
Ironpie uses a zigzag route that, according to the company, helps in identifying areas that are yet to be cleaned. It creates a 3D map of a home with the collected data for cleaning tasks in the future. Other features are the simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) system that prevents the robot vacuum colliding from obstacles.
The companion smartphone app can be used to manage the Ironpie robot vacuum and also for remote surveillance of a home. A VGA (640 x 480 resolution) video camera is also integrated into Ironpie’s top. It has a 2,500mAh battery that fully charges in five hours and offers an estimated 100 minutes of run time.
The AI-powered Ironpie robot vacuum cleaner will be available in February 2019, in black and white colors for about $299.
