Everyone deserves to stay in high-quality and refreshing spaces, including immigrants and displaced people who had to migrate from their native places due to one reason or another. While many displaced people have to struggle to find a comfortable dwelling after migrating to a new place or country, a California start-up named Vika Living has rolled down a tiny flat-pack home called Vika One to help provide them with a home.

Coming at an affordable rate of $38,000, Vika One is inspired by Swedish architectural design and comes in many configurations. Every single of these configurations includes a kitchen and bathroom. The tiny home is also equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing a lot of natural light in. The Vika One tiny home also features a mini-split heating and cooling system to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Boasting 144 square feet of usable living space, the tiny home is packed with all the features needed for a comfortable stay. One can spot a bed from the glazed windows that convert into seating. Additionally, there is a space-saving table for eating that collapses into the wall. The living room is separated from the bathroom through a partition wall.

The bathroom is adjacent to both the living area and kitchen and has a full-size shower and toilet. The company offers both flush toilets and composting toilets to accommodate sites with and without existing sewer hookups.

The kitchen is a few steps away from the bed and comes with a sink, stove, refrigerator, and decent storage. The kitchen window lets in fresh breeze and doubles as an emergency exit, too. If you ever plan on buying one, also take into consideration an additional front porch space that can be used for sunbathing.

Other than the basic unit package, there is an off-grid upgrade available which facilitates a 2.4KW solar system, 7.2 kWh of energy storage, and a freshwater pumping and filtration system. In case of emergency, the company also offers a move-in ready package so you will not need new tableware, cookware, and other important accessories as it covers all these things.
